About the Neighbourhood
Les Invalides
Les Invalides
Quality restaurants and cafés are plentiful in this part of Paris. The world renowned Rue Cler market is nearby as is Rue St Dominique, both of which are filled with shops such as hair salons, antique dealers, butchers, fishmongers, delicatessens, clothing shops and much more.

Much of the character of the neighbourhood comes from the many military institutions located here, including Les Invalides itself - originally a 17th century army hospital, and now a complex of museums and monuments.

The Eiffel Tower, a short walk from the apartment, is a must for any visitor. Across the Seine from it is the Trocadéro Garden where the Museum of Modern Art is located, as well as the Maritime Museum.

The Musée du Quai Branly, on the banks of the Seine close to the Eiffel Tower, is a striking and fascinating building which houses a collection of indigenous art and cultural artifacts from around the world.
