Appartement Place des Vosges is bright and spacious, with three bedrooms to comfortably sleep up to six and a baby. Furnished with high quality new furniture, the living room has hardwood parquet flooring giving it a truly Parisian feel. Next to it, the dining area has a table for four or more. Enjoy the use of a flat-screen television, DVD, and internet access.

The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances and fixtures including a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and has enough counter and floor space for more than one person to work there at a time.

The two main bedrooms, both equipped with double beds, are bright and quiet. The childrens' bedroom includes a crib for infants, and also has a bunk bed which can be used for the kids or for extra sleeping space for guests.

The bathroom is fully equipped with a toilet, full sized bathtub and a shower stall. It, like the rest of the flat, is spacious and bright. There is also a separate WC with a toilet and sink.

The apartment is located just a short walk from the heart of the Marais, one of the oldest and most historic areas in Paris. Nearby are the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Picasso Museum, the Louvre and the Place des Vosges.

Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est train stations are both nearby, so it's easy to plan day trips from the apartment. Plan to spend a day or two in Deauville in the Normandy region. Train schedules are plentiful, and it's less than two hours drive.

The Marais was popular with the aristocrats in the seventeenth century, but was abandoned during the Revolution. The neighbourhood was not touched by Baron Haussmann during his work in the 1830s to make Paris the most modern city in nineteenth century Europe. As a result the Marais retains its pre-nineteenth century splendour.

In 1962 it was declared an historic area and restoration began in earnest. The area is now once again fashionable with galleries, restaurants, fashion boutiques and cultural centres. The main streets and narrow passageways are bustling with activity.
