Inside, the house retains many original features with exposed wooden beams and tiled floors. In the large living room, couches surround a large open fireplace. The sun-filled dining room has two large tables to seat 12 guests comfortably. Double doors lead out to the dining terrace.
Upstairs, there are five bedrooms, all overlooking the vineyards. Four bedrooms have a double bed and a private bathroom with a shower or bath, basin, and toilet. The fifth bedroom has a lits-jumeaux (two similar single beds,) and also a fully equipped bathroom. There are many great places to visit on day trips. Mont Ventoux is a famously difficult stage of the Tour de France, but visitors have the option of simply driving to the summit to enjoy the spectacular view. Also within easy reach is the historic city of Aix-en-Provence, founded by the Romans as a spa town and an important cultural and political centre during the middle ages. The Mediterranean coast is an hour and a half’s drive. A little further, one can visit the glamourous cities of Nice and St-Tropez, and Marseille, famous for its 18th century port area and its excellent seafood restaurants.
