About the Area
The village of Tourettes-sur-Loup
The village of Tourettes-sur-Loup
Villa Chloë is located in a peaceful and private area, a few minute's walk from the medieval village of Tourettes-sur-Loup. It is situated on a south/southwest-facing elevated position. There are a few nearby villas, yet it is very peaceful and private.

One usually only hears the birds chirping in the morning and the songs of the cicadas in the evening. At the bottom of the hill is an old medieval fountain that was used by women several hundred years ago to do their laundry.

Grand Rue in the village
Grand Rue in the village
This is a beautiful area to have picnics and take hikes, or stroll into the village for fresh croissants and baguettes in the morning.

Tourettes-sur-Loup is a traditional medieval village with narrow streets. Also called the "City of Violets", it offers numerous restaurants, two cafés, a crèperie, two patisserie-boulangeries, a butcher, a small grocery for fruits and vegetables, a pharmacy and several galleries, boutiques and artisan shops. Market day is every Wednesday.

About the Region
The 10th century cathedral with Chagall Mosaic in the baptistry
The 10th century cathedral with Chagall Mosaic in the baptistry
Within 45 minutes from the villa by car, there are several historical and artistic points of interest: the Chapelle-du-Rosaire, designed and decorated by painter Henri Matisse in Vence; St. Paul de Vence and the Maeght Foundation; the Picasso Museum in Antibes; painter Auguste Renoir's home in Cagnes-sur-Mer; the Chagall Museum in Nice; the lovely perched village of Gourdon; the handblown glass craftsmen in Biot; the artisan pottery in Vallauris and much more. Antiques and brocante can be found every day of the week in nearby villages and towns. For beach lovers, the pebble beaches in Nice may, or may not, be for you, but Antibes and Cannes have private soft sandy beaches as well that are great for people watching. Villa Chloë is also within a close driving distance to many other wonderful cities such as Monte Carlo (1 hour), Avignon/ Aix/ Arles (2 hours), and 2 hours to the Canyon of the river Verdon.

Guest Opinions

We had the best time at Villa Chloe! Not one complaint! The house was great and the pool was awsome! We did day trips everyday (Cannes, Antibes, where we rented a boat, St Paul, Gourdon, St Tropez and San Remo), and after all that we still had time to get home to enjoy the pool. Thanks again to you for one of our best vacations! We will be back.

We had such a lovely time at Villa Chloe. We were really pleased with the house. It seemed to be very well thought out and really well equipped. The pool was lovely, and big table and chairs outside were superb too. We did some lovely walks around the hills, played tennis, swam, sunbathed, read a pile of books, tried the restaurants, spent some time in Nice...what can I say, we thoroughly enjoyed it, so thank you very much!

We had a great time. Tourettes was everything you said it was - really beautiful. The Villa was great. I can't think of any critism, even constructive!

You have a lovely place in a very desirable location. It is clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed it a lot: Laura (who is an artist) is already asking me when we would go back!

Because we had in mind a trip which involved visiting the villages, your villa and location were perfect for us. The Gorges Loup was spectacular. Our favorite places were the perched villages - St. Paul de Vence, Eze, Biot, the old town of Vence and Antibes, the view of Gourdon and of course Tourettes sur Loup. We were "hunting" the golf courses! Ronnie played at three courses, and one day I played also at Cannes Mougins. It was very nice. Ultimately, the best part was being able to go on the day excursions and come back to the villa for our wines, pound of cheese, loaf of bread, and apples. I would recommend Villa Chloe to anyone for its warmth, comfort, and old world charm. The light in that part of France was everything you read about and you instantly understand why the painters loved it there. Thanks again for everything.
