Both units can be rented together at a discount for groups of six or seven.

About the Area
The village of Sablet
The village of Sablet
The village of Sablet is a ten minute walk from Coule Fontaine, and has everything needed for day-to-day living: bakers, butchers, a deli, a general store, newsagent, pharmacy, and medical centre. Among the places to dine are a traditional café and three restaurants, all with exterior terraces, ranging from simply family establishments to the upmarket Les Abeilles.

By taking a different path from the house, one can take a 15-minute walk to Séguret, which is officially one of the prettiest villages in France, and has a café and two restaurants. Its small winding streets are a pleasure to explore. The nearby Dentelles hills have marked trails for hiking and mountain biking.

The house is located in the Vaucluse, a Côtes-du-Rhône wine producing region, rich in history and with plenty of sunshine. Mont Ventoux, the famous landmark of the tour de France, is nearby and offers splendid views over the region and beyond.

The papal city of Avignon is a short drive away, and the Roman towns of Nîmes, Arles and Aix, all well known for their festivals and museums, are within comfortable driving distance.

The vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône region

Within a twenty kilometre radius are the Roman towns of Vaison-la-Romaine (which has the best Provençal market in the region on Tuesday mornings), Carpentras, and Orange, all of which have historic sites, Roman ruins and ancient theatres where events are staged throughout the summer months. The lovely town of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a haven of antique dealers and brocante shops. Further afield are the cities of Marseille and Monpellier, the beaches of the Mediterranean sea, the national parks of the Camargue and the Vercours, and the canyons of the Ardeche and Verdon rivers.
