Arched French windows lead from terraces into open-plan salons which boast light airy spaces, minimum furnishings and offer maximum comfort. Sweeping floors and stippled or washed walls make the most of each room’s lofty proportions while deep sofas, a wooden dining table and hand-crafted chandelier add a bold edge. A delicate metalwork spiral stair leads to a snug mezzanine sitting room while a neat fitted kitchen is tucked into a corner.
Light-filled bedrooms, warm in peach and pink, have a selection of antiques which add a certain old fashioned charm. Jean-François and Nikki also run a lively café in town, and are more than happy to be of assistance with holiday tips and any other questions guests may have.
Ideally located, the Couvent des Ursulines is a pleasant five minute stroll from meadows and vineyards, and two minutes from the vibrant centre of Pézenas and its pavement cafés, traditional restaurants, and numerous antique shops. There is a large range of summer cultural events including concerts, festivals and art galleries.

There is a wide choice of restaurants in the winding streets, and the town hosts many summer festivals, concerts and cultural events. Pézenas is famous throughout France for its antique and bric-à-brac shops, and its weekly Saturday market. Guests may also book French lessons and guided excursions throughout the area to fully enjoy your stay.
The Cap is also the place to be seen for the chic Paris crowd that converges every August. Nightclubs and lively bars and restaurants dominate the resort, while for the kids there is the huge waterpark, ‘Aqualand’. Elsewhere, don’t miss the Canal du Midi, Lake Salagou, hiking and canoeing in the Orb valley, Pont du Gard, Carcassonne, the pink flamingos and white horses of the Camargue, and the famous half bridge and Papal Palace in Avignon.
