Collobrières has shops and services to cover everyday needs, and a good range of cafés and restaurants. The medieval town is easy to explore on foot. A local specialty is sweet chestnuts, made into pastries, ice cream, jam and purée. The town's most famous landmark is the Notre-Dame des Victoires church, which has a colourfully tiled steeple.

Collobrières hosts a traditional open market every Sunday. In the surrounding countryside, there are walking and hiking trails, and quiet country roads to explore by bike.

The city of Avignon has some very impressive medieval architecture, including the great Palais des papes or Papal Palace, dating from the period when the papacy was based there.

The city of Aix-en-Provence was founded by the Romans, and was once home to Paul Cézanne and Pablo Picasso. Its Cathedral of the Holy Saviour, built on the site of a Roman forum, contains elements from the 5th to the 17th centuries, including famous Romanesque cloisters.
