Picturesque villages are in abundance and most have a café or bistro at which one can stop and enjoy the local produce. Every day of the week, one of them holds an open air market for fresh produce, crafts and entertainment.

The area has some excellent walking trails, particularly in the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range, and is also renowned for its cycling. Mont Ventoux attracts cyclists from around the world and is a famously gruelling stage of the Tour de France. One can rent canoes and paddle down the Ardeche and Gard rivers.

From Ferme la Garrigue, one can take tours of the regional wineries and taste and buy the wine on site.
