About the Holiday Home

The 10x5 m heated swimming pool shared by the four cottages
The 10x5 m heated swimming pool shared by the four cottages
The Logis de Lussais was built in the 18th century as a gentleman’s residence with an imposing manor house and private vineyard, and later became a working farm. Today it remains a private residence, offering well equipped self catering family holiday accomodation and leisure facilities, with easy access to regional attractions.

There are four cottages: L'Écurie, which sleeps four, La Remise, also for four, La Conciergerie, which accommodates six, and La Mouette, for up to eight guests. The owners, who live in the manor house, are available throughout your holiday to help in any way required.

Logis de Lussais
Logis de Lussais
Logis de Lussais is surrounded by woodlands and sunflower fields in the Boutonne valley, in the centre of the Poitou-Charentes region of South West France, close to local amenities in the small market town of Chef-Boutonne and within easy reach of the beaches and islands along the Atlantic coast, the airports at La Rochelle, Angoulème and Poitiers and regional attractions.

Within walking distance are a local restaurant, a trout farm to buy fresh and smoked fish, a fairytale château with a park and lake, and a boulangerie to buy fresh bread and pastries.

At the end of a private avenue lined with chestnut trees which provide shaded parking, the owners manor house and the four separate cottages are located around a circular courtyard with a fountain and fishpond. South facing communal landscaped gardens include raquet sports and the shared heated swimming pool. The entire property is gated at the front and back, bordered with mature hedgerows and trees, offering seclusion and privacy. Both pools are fenced with self closing gates providing peace of mind for families with young children.

The four cottages have all been renovated to a high standard retaining many original features, and are all comfortably furnished and well equipped. They all have their own front and rear private courtyard gardens, each with a patio table and chairs, a parasol and a barbecue.

The 10 x 5m heated swimming pool shared by the four cottages features Roman steps leading down to a shallow end of 1.1 metre and a deep end of 2 metres. There is a further 8x4m heated pool which is available for private rental by special arrangement which includes a small poolside bar and washroom.

Both swimming pools have large sunbathing terraces furnished with sunlounger chairs and parasols.

Thank you for everything. The Logis is a fantastic place to come on holiday. We would love to return.
Sarah H. - Surrey, England

We enjoyed our family holiday in the enchanting setting at Logis de Lussais. You provided something for every age group and we made good use of all the facilities. You have developed a fine resource for holiday makers in a rather special part of France.
