La Campagne Saint Lazare and its grounds
La Campagne Saint Lazare is a 17th century mas, or country house, set in 7 hectares (20 acres) of lush meadows, bordered by two streams in Provence. It is less than a kilometre from the 14th century fortified city of Forcalquier, and just 70 kilometres from the ancient city of Aix-en-Provence.

La Campagne Saint Lazare has two studio apartments, each sleeping two guests, with a sofa bed which can accommodate a third guest if necessary. The studios are on the ground floor facing the pool.

The property also contains a restaurant, and the on-site chef can cook a memorable and traditional meal for you. Or dine out on the terrace, with a view of the citadel of Forcalquier.

About the Area
The town of Forcalquier
The town of Forcalquier
From La Campagne Saint Lazare, it is less than a kilometre to the medieval town and citadel of Forcalquier. This is a great place to stroll to on a Sunday and listen to the manually operated bells of the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Provence. From the Citadel, the panoramic view of Forcalquier is magnificent.

The town hosts an open-air market on Monday, where local artisans and small producers sell food and wares. Don't miss the chance to walk around the Old Quarter of Forcalquier, with its narrow cobblestone streets, shaded squares, and townhouses dating from the 13th and 14th century.
