About the Holiday Home

The living room
The living room
La Tour de la Rose is a spacious and airy home, built around a two-storey tower. It is surrounded by vines and olive trees in the countryside outside the medieval Provençal village of Valbonne. Built and decorated in the traditional Provençal style, the house has tiled floors throughout, apart from the wooden floors in the living room. There are four bedrooms in the house: three doubles and one twin bedroom, to accommodate up to ten guests in comfort. One of the double bedrooms is located close to the pool, separate from the main house. This separate studio has its own kitchen, so guests who stay there can have some independence from the main house.
The kitchen
The kitchen
Inside the house on the main floor, there is a bright, spacious living area with comfortable couches, and a large window overlooking the garden and the olive trees. The Provençal-style kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, stove and microwave, and a dining table for eight people. Doors from the kitchen open onto the main terrace and garden.

Also on the main floor of the house is a double bedroom with its own terrace and a bathroom opposite, and a twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room.

Dining out by the pool
Dining out by the pool
The tower has a double bedroom with a terrace on the upper floor. The other double bedroom is located next to the pool. It has a kitchen, a double bed, and a bathroom.

The large pool measures 16 metres by 10, and is surrounded by terraces. An outdoor dining area near the pool can seat up to ten. The garden is full of trees and plants, giving plenty of privacy from the few neighbouring houses. The south-facing property gets sunshine all day, and there is plenty of place to relax and enjoy the smell of lavender while lying in the shade of the vines.

Special features: • Pool on the property
Swimming pool: Outdoor pool, 16 x 10 metres

About the Area

The medieval town of Valbonne
The medieval town of Valbonne
La Tour de la Rose is set in the countryside. It’s a fifteen or twenty minute walk to the village of Valbonne, a mile away. This medieval village has lots of character, with a wide range of restaurants, shops, bars, and a weekly market. The village of Gourdon is a twenty minute drive. Gourdon is home to a great range of crafts people, including glass blowers, silk and enamel painters, creators of soaps and perfumes, and many more. It’s a great spot to visit, and to buy pottery, local fabrics, dolls, confectionary, and much more. There is a choice of golf courses within easy reach. The surrounding countryside has quiet roads and trails which one can explore on bike or foot.
