The courtyard from which one accesses the apartment
Centrally located in the hip northern Marais neighborhood, this historic studio apartment provides a base from which to enjoy all the sights, sounds, and tastes of Paris. With one double bed, it is ideal for a couple.

The building where the apartment is located was formed from two 17th century buildings, originally made for the nobility. Between them is a classical courtyard and gardens, and the studio is located just off the courtyard.

About the Neighbourhood
The Marais is located in Paris' 3rd and 4th arrondissements and is the epicenter of today's Parisian art scene. With historic buildings, courtyards, and narrow streets, the area is a favourite spot for visitors from around the world.

In addition, the Marais is also one of the most historic areas in Paris. Popular with aristocrats in the seventeenth century, it was abandoned during the Revolution. When Baron Haussmann attempted to make Paris the most modern city in nineteenth-century Europe, the Marais district went unaltered. As a result the Marais retains its pre-nineteenth century splendour.

The Pompidou Centre
The Pompidou Centre
In 1962 the Marais was declared an historic area and restoration began in earnest. The area is now once again fashionable with many galleries, restaurants, fashion boutiques and cultural centers. The main streets and narrow passageways are bustling with activity.

Nearby are the art museum of the Pompidou Centre, the Picasso Museum, the Louvre and the fabled Place des Vosges. Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est train stations are both nearby.
