Limani is a recently built four-bedroom villa, set in the rural hills of Provence, inland from the Mediterranean coast. Up to eight guests can stay in the two-storey home.
With a garden and swimming pool, it enjoys great views over the surrounding vineyards to the hills beyond.
It is set in peaceful countryside, two kilometres from the village of Salernes. It is furnished with a mix of antique and modern pieces, and filled with many interesting items of decor.
The garden is planted with a lawn and plants suited to the warm, dry climate. A flower border adjoins the house, and olive trees and lavendar bushes grow in front. A shaded outdoor dining table on the terrace gives a great spot to cook a barbecue and eat outside.
At the bottom of the garden, the 12 x 5 metre swimming pool has an electrically operated security cover. It can be heated outside of the summer months.
Entering the house, the ground floor is dominated by a large open plan living room. A pair of sofas face a wood burning stove and a TV. The room is bright and airy thanks to two French doors opening onto the south-facing terrace. Wifi internet access is available.
An arch opens into the kitchen-dining area, which has a large table with seating for ten. The kitchen has a central island with stools, and is well equipped with two ovens, a gas stovetop, an electric plate, a fridge and a dishwasher.
Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms, both with queen sized beds and en suite bathrooms.
Upstairs is another double bedroom with a queen sized bed and views to the hills beyond. The second bedroom has twin beds, and they both share a bathroom. There is a seperate WC on this floor.
The small town of Salernes, two kilometres away, is within walking distance. It offers a range of restaurants, bars and shops, and hosts an open-air market every Wednesday and Sunday.
The surrounding hills have plenty of trails to explore on foot or on a mountain bike. A golf driving range is just a short walk from the house. The area is full of attractive traditional villages to explore, and most have numerous activities in the summer months.
Within three quarters of an hour's drive is Lac Saint-Croix, where visitors can enjoy swimming and other watersports, including kayaking and sailing. The great river canyon, the Gorge du Verdon, empties into the lake, and offers scenes of spectacular natural beauty.
South of Limani, the Mediterranean coast is just over an hour away by car. The beaches of Saint-Tropez, Toulon, and Frejus are all within easy reach, and the glamourous coastal cities of Nice and Cannes are ideally situated for a day trip.
The great medieval and Roman city of Aix-en-Provence, home of the famous Papal Palace is a little over an hour and a half. Rich in culture and history, it is a great place to spend a day. The salt marsh of the Camargue and its wild horses is just a little further. Monaco and Italy are within easy reach for a visit.
