About us

Gite.com is a hand-picked selection of beautiful and interesting holiday homes in France.

What is a gîte? How do I rent one?

Why rent a holiday home with Gite.com?

Unlike most other sites, Gite.com charges no commission. Other sites charge up to 15%. With us, you deal directly with the homeowner, and they pass the savings on to you.

Because you’re renting directly from the homeowner, they want to get to know you and answer all of your questions before you book. You can both feel confident in who you’re dealing with.

We carefully review every vacation property before it gets listed on Gite.com. We only accept homes where we would want to stay– and you will too.

We’ve been running Gite.com since 1998, continuously under the same management. Some of our homeowners have been with us since the start. We want to share with you the benefit of our years of experience. We are a member of the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Française à l'Étranger, Toronto Chapter.

If you are looking for a house in France, or wish to check on the availability of a property, please do not contact us. Instead, find a house that suits you and contact the property owner directly.

For owners of holiday homes

Owners interested in applying to have their home listed with us should first check the Homeowners section.
